Soundarya Natya Kalalaya Foundation
Soundarya Natya Kalalaya Foundation was founded by Guru Smt. Padmini Radhakrishnan in 1980 at Mumbai. The institution is dedicated to teaching the art form of Bharatanatyam, a classical form of dance from South India, in the traditional authentic form. This 'Not-for-Profit' organization has conducted over 3500 stage performances all over India, United States of America, Singapore, Malaysia, Kingdom of Bahrain, Republic of China, Sultanate of Oman & Canada.
The artistes of Soundarya Natya Kalalaya Foundation have represented India at the International Art Festival held in the People's Republic of China in the year 2012, the Muscat International Festival in 2014 and the 34th edition of Le Mondial Des Cultures, Canada in 2015.
Several students of SNKF have won Titles, Awards and Scholarships in dance from various well-known institutions. Soundarya Natya Kalalaya Foundation also trains Artistes for Government-recognised examinations in Bharatanatyam.
Under the guidance of Founder-Director Smt. Guru Padmini Radhakrishnan, Soundarya Natya Kalalaya Foundation has presented over 140 Arangetrams. Today, the institution operates from 9 locations in India and abroad. Over 2,000 students have been trained by Smt Padmini Radhakrishnan, and over 25 teachers spread this Fine Art globally.
